Finsettle Head of Business Development (Ted Hampson) attended the recent African Securities Exchange Association Conference ( ASEA 2010) held in Zambia from 10 November to 13 November 2010. (23/11/2010)

The following is an extract from his conference report.

"Common challenges are faced by the different exchanges across Africa, which include liquidity in the markets, standard or similar governance and reporting  principles, effective and standard settlement cycles at   T+?,  effective use and/ or adaptation of technology, movement to electronic trading systems, the need to increase bandwidth, education of companies towards listing as a capital raising alternative, consumer education related to investing in a stock exchange, effective available research, education and training of market participants, customer management systems and techniques, navigating the needs of different exchanges, countries and regions as further trust is fostered for all to take advantage of the future opportunities. These common challenges present business opprtunities for those with vision...."

Finsettle announces training partnership with FinTuition (9/11/2010)

Finsettle has entered into an agreement with FinTuition (a financial training company based in London), where Finsettle acts as the South African and Sub-Saharan FinTuition representative and partner, responsible for delivering the FinTuition training courses to the region.

FinTuition was recently appointed by ISLA as their approved Securities Lending and Borrowing training provider. The first training programs are due to be delivered early in 2011.

Finsettle launches new website and new product offerings (20/8/2010)

Finsettle Services spent the first half of 2010 quietly redefining itself.

With the launch of our new website, we can also announce our ambitious growth plans. With a strong and skilled team in place, we have far-reaching growth plans for the future. While remaining highly focused on our traditional markets and core offerings of Custody & Settlement and Securities Lending and Borrowing, we are expanding into being a specialised provider of several outsourced functions. Our aim is to win new Custody and Settlement clients, increase our Securities Lending and Borrowing Activities, and launch new and relevant products and services. Exciting and challenging times lie ahead for Finsettle.
